Even though the Ancient satelite was able to destroy one hive-ship, with two still coming the situation on Atlantis becomes dire, and Weir orders an evacuation and the destruction of Atlantis.

But before they can dial out, somebody deals in. The team is surprised to discover that it is Earth. After having located a ZPM in Egypt, Stargate Command is able to send reinforcements to Atlantis and help defend it.

Col. Everett informs Dr. Weir that he is ordered to take over command and hold out at any cost untill an earth/asgard spaceship arrives in Pegasus with the ZPM. Even with it´s hyperdrive powered by the ZPM that leaves Atlantis still vulnerable to the Wraith for 4 day´s and the Wraith are only 1 day away.

Memorable Quote
"Col. Everett; Can you do it?
McKay; I knew this was gonna happen.
Col. Everett; Is that a fact?
McKay; Yes it´s a fact. Look you show up here with your guns and your brushcuts, but when t comes to actually saving the city you turn to the scientist, and every time what you ask is impossible.
Col. Everett; When was the last time you slept, doctor?
McKay; Yeah yeah, just shut up. I have an idea."

Bloopers
15 Jun 2006, Kira1701 44:
The Atlantis staff knew from a previous experience that the Wraith beamed into the city. This should have been mentioned to Col. Everett. Then he might have assigned at least one soldier to guard each scientist.

15 Jun 2006, Kira1701 44:
It is mentioned that the lifesigns detector can not determine what type of life it detects and differentiate between the Atlantis crew and the Wraith. However, in the episode "Rising" we can clearly see humans as white dots and Wraith as red dots.
